"Thermic Burned Technology" The thermic treatment of the veneers makes for extremely high stability comparable to features of high-quality tropical woods. The blades are exposed to a temperature of 200 degrees centigrade for twenty four hours. This process hardens the wood and removes any humidity. The EPOX POWERCARBON blade has a carbon-fleece fibre layer between a Fineline outer veneer and an Ayous middle veneer. Carbon-fleece fibre is more elastic than ordinary carbon fibre. This produces a lively blade with good feel despite it being stiff. The carbon fleece fibre lies between the Kiri centre veneer and an Ayous middle veneer. This is the reason that it is somewhat softer and easier to control than the EPOX Powercarbon.
